Christmas 2012

We had another wonderful Christmas this year.  This year was SO fun for us because we got to watch the joy in Claire’s eyes while she opened her presents.  She did not have a shortage of gifts so we opened gifts over two days so she wasn’t so overwhelmed.  That way she also go to enjoy her new things before moving on to something else!

We spent Christmas Eve in Georgetown and enjoyed a wonderful snowfall

We had a wonderful meal with extended family (2 aunts, 2 uncles, and 3 cousins) at my parents house and went to candle light Christmas Eve service.  Claire did really good at church.  She started dancing in the aisle to “Go Tell it on the Mountain” and everyone was just watching her and laughing.  The only meltdown occurred when the candles came out because she wanted to hold one!

Drew and I braved the bad weather and drove back to Denver after church.  We really wanted Claire to wake up and and do a traditional Christmas at her house.  We didn’t get quite the snow that my parents got in the mountains but we had enough where we had a white Christmas in Denver too!

My parents came down mid morning and we opened gifts and enjoyed our traditional honey baked ham!
