Lower Maxwell Falls

No you aren’t having deja vu, this weekend we did this hike again!  We went out with our favorite hiking buddies and made the trek up.  The first time we hiked this I will admit, I thought it was super hard!  I think I have gotten in better shape though because it was easier this time (notice the italics on easier meaning not as challenging as last time but still tough!)  We didn’t get as many pictures this time because it started POURING and we had to put the camera up.  Claire was a trooper and just fell asleep with her head covered.  She didn’t get too wet but the rest of us were SOAKED.  I even checked the weather before we left and it said 81 and sunny.  When we got back to the car it was 59 and rainy!!  But the rain and cooler weather were FABULOUS!!!  Come on fall!!

We finally broke out the ERGO backpack.  We had been using the black one and it is SUPER uncomfortable for whoever is donning it because it has no hip strap.  All the weight of the bebe goes to your neck.  So we tried the ERGO at home before we left to see if she was big enough for it and she was!  She did not like being carried with Drew though because his torso is so long she couldn’t see a thing!  So she rode with mom and we had a good time.  She slept most of the hike but oh well!!

Drew and his “other girls”

On the way back down we switched her to the back.  She is such a trooper.  I wish we would have remembered to take some “after” pics when we were soaked but I think everyone was just happy to see the dry car!!

Claire looks quite comfy snuggled up to momma. What a cute little hiker girl.

Thanks for showing us Maxwell Falls. It was a fun hike in spite of the rain.

She loves her hikes! What a great family activity. Looks like she’s really noticing all her surroundings. Soon you’ll have to pack her a lunch too!
